Dr. Monroe is an Assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine and is dual certified in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine with special interests in medical education, quality improvement, and global health. After completing her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, she went on to receive her Medical Doctorate and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed both her emergency medicine residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her academic interests during training focused on quality improvement and global health. Currently, Dr. Monroe splits her clinical time between a large, adult, level 1 county hospital and a quaternary care, level 1 children's hospital in Atlanta, GA. She also works closely with emergency medicine residents and pediatric emergency medicine fellows teaching on topics related to pediatric readiness and quality improvement.
