Dr. Monette completed an emergency medicine residency at the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and BWH. He subsequently completed fellowship training in medical education research at MGH in 2020, concurrently earning a master’s degree in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. During this time, he also served as Acting Associate Director of Education for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in Emergency Medicine at MGH and led simulation-based education programs for interprofessional teams in MGH Emergency Department (ED). Dr. Monette is now faculty in Emergency Medicine at MGH and Harvard Medical School and serves as Associate Medical Director for Advanced Practice Providers in Emergency Medicine at MGH, as well as Assistant Program Director for the medical education research fellowship at MGH. HE has an active role within the Division of Emergency Medical Simulation at MGH, sharing responsibility for the design, implementation, and assessment of simulation and debriefing programs while investigating the impact of these programs on the clinical learning environment.
