Erica Concors (they/them, she/her) is a second year Emergency Medicine resident at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. Erica completed their undergraduate education at Smith College in Massachusetts prior to obtaining her Masters in Public Health at the University of Michigan. She then attended medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey where she was the co-chair for the school's AMSA Gender and Sexuality committee and conducted research on novel patient education techniques for transgender youth at The Gender Center of New Jersey. They currently serve as a Graduate Medical Education Committee Resident Representative, Illinois College of Emergency Medicine Social Emergency Medicine Committee member, and are working with their residency's Diversity and Inclusion committee to improve residency education on LGBTQ health topics. Their academic interests include LGBTQIA health, social emergency medicine, and public health. Outside of medicine you can find them experimenting in the kitchen or planning their next big road trip.
