Dr. Kevin Scott is an Associate Clinical Professor, Assistant Residency Program Director, Education Scholarship Fellowship Director, and education researcher in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His scholarly interests in learning theory and its application to the continuum of medical education has led to multiple projects focusing on technology integration in medical education, development of curricula that can be adapted to current and future learners’ specific needs, and curricular assessment. More recently, his work has focused on designing educational programs that can be tailored to the individual learner, fostering a foundation for competency based medical education and the development of skills essential to life-long, self-regulated learning. Dr. Scott has developed and currently directs the individualized learning and coaching program at the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Pennsylvania (PennEM ELITE) and oversees program and curricular development focused on nurturing the development of adaptive expertise in Penn's emergency medicine residents.
