As Director of Solar Policy for the American Clean Power Association, David Murray manages solar work streams related to wildlife, permitting, legislative and regulatory affairs. He also works with ACP industry partners to improve environmental impacts, health and safety, workforce development, and operations and management. Prior to joining ACP, David served as Executive Director of the Chesapeake Solar & Storage Association, representing the diverse solar and storage industry in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Throughout David’s tenure, the association played an instrumental role in the passage of the Maryland Clean Energy Jobs Act and Virginia Clean Economy Act, which built a market for over 21 gigawatts of solar power in the region.
David has a B.A. in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Master’s in Renewable Energy Development Studies from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and is certified as a NABCEP entry level photovoltaic installer.
