Anish Agarwal is an assistant professor and chief wellness officer in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Deputy Director of the Penn Medicine Center for Digital Health. Anish holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biomedical engineering from Tufts University and medical and public health degrees from Tufts University School of Medicine. Anish completed his emergency medicine training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident. Following residency, he pursued further training in health services research within the National Clinicians Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Anish’s research focuses on the intersection of digital health, mobile health, and acute care delivery. Specifically, he is interested in developing and evaluating approaches which help health systems better support the mental health and well-being of the healthcare workforce and drive clinical change.
