I am Uzma Rahim Khan. I am Assistant Professor and Research Director in the department of Emergency Medicine at Aga Khan University. I am first female researcher in Emergency Medicine with an experience of 13 years in Pakistan. I lead a multidisciplinary research group “Violence and Injury” at Aga Khan University, Pakistan. I managed multiple research projects in diverse settings such as hospitals, schools and households and successfully produced peer-reviewed publications from each project. I have over 50 publications. I have developed two Masters level courses related to trauma and injury. I am also involved in Emergency Medicine clinical research. I developed research module for the residents of Emergency Medicine Department. I am mentoring three Masters' students.I initiated department’s research ethics committee. I started “Violence and Injury prevention seminars” in the Department where national and international speakers are invited to present their research work. I was the coordinator for our Department’s designation as WHO collaborating center for Emergency Medicine and Trauma.
