Youyou Duanmu is a Clinical Assistant Professor, the Co-Director of the Ultrasound Fellowship and the Associate Director of Research for the Ultrasound Section of the Stanford Emergency Department. She attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Emergency Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and completed a two-year fellowship in emergency ultrasound as well as a Master’s of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in quantitative research methods. She has published in the fields of critical care ultrasound, clinical decision rules, medical education and ultrasound competency assessment and is currently leading clinical trials on ultrasound guided nerve blocks as well as hyperkalemia management. Her passions include supporting resident and fellow research projects.
