Dr. Ryus is a fellow in the Yale Emergency Scholars Program. Her work centers on social determinants of health and homelessness, with a particular focus on the intersection between social vulnerability and disasters. Her research interests also include healthcare workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion specifically in regards to medical education and training environments. Dr. Ryus completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She earned her MPH from Columbia University and her MD from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
