Dr. Catherine A. Staton, MD MSc is an Associate Professor with Tenure of Emergency Medicine and Global Health with appointments in the Duke Division of Emergency Medicine, Duke Department of Neurosurgery and the Duke Global Health Institute. She is the EM Director of the HYC Global Health Residency and Fellowship Pathway as well as the Director of the Duke GEMINI (Global EM Innovation and Implemention) Research Center. She is an NIH funded researcher who focuses on conducting implementation science to improve access to quality care globally, particularly with projects in Brazil and Tanzania. Dr. Staton also mentors a myriad of learners both within the GEMINI network as well as through her current D43 TReCK Program to improve implementation and data science supported injury research in the Kilimanjaro region.
