Corita Grudzen, MD, MSHS, FACEP is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Sciences and Vice Chair for Research in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her program of research focuses on understanding and improving the quality of care for ED patients with serious, life-limiting illness. She is currently funded by the NIH to conduct a pragmatic trial of primary palliative care for emergency medicine across 18 health systems and PCORI to compare the effectiveness of outpatient, specialty palliative care to nurse-delivered telephonic care in patients discharged from over 15 EDs.
