Rakesh D. Mistry, MD, MS is Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO). He presently serves as the Director of Academic Affairs and Director of Research for the CHCO Section of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Mistry’s academic interests include faculty development and mentorship, with a research focus on ED infectious diseases and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs for the emergency setting. He is the author or co-author for over 100 original research articles, conducts peer-reviews for 18 journals. In addition. Dr. Mistry holds national leadership positions in multi-center collaborative research, including Chair of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Collaborative Research Committee (PEMCRC), Site Primary Investigator for CHCO in the federally funded Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), and Steering Committee member for the international Pediatric Emergency Research Networks (PERN). Additionally, he holds editorial positions for two peer-reviewed journals and currently serves on the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-Board of Emergency Medicine. Originally from New Jersey, his personal interests include cycling, hiking, watching football, and spending time in the mountains with his wife and son.
