Dr. Grant Lipman is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed the Stanford Wilderness Medicine Fellowship and is now the Director of the Stanford Wilderness Medicine Section & Fellowship. Dr. Lipman oversaw the development and publication of the core curriculum for post-graduate wilderness medicine fellowships, created the GME Wilderness Medicine Committee of the Wilderness Medicine Society, and has Chaired the Research Committee of the Wilderness Medicine Society and Wilderness Medicine Section of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has published over 80 peer reviewed articles and chapters, and received research grant support from the Wilderness Medical Society, Department of Defense, U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, Institute for Altitude Medicine, RacingThePlanet, Stanford University School of Medicine, and the American Alpine Club. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Wilderness Medical Society and Research Director for RacingThePlanet.
