Product Marketing Manager at NanoTemper Technologies, South San Francisco, CA.
I have a PhD in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. My PhD thesis was based on work I did on foot-and-mouth disease virus at the USDA Plum Island Animal Research Center in Long Island, NY. After that I had a post-doctoral appointment at UC Irvine, which allowed me to continue working in the field of virology. I left the academic world in 2003 to work for Biogenex as a Technical Support Specialists. I really liked being able to help and troubleshoot problems so I continued working in tech support with Bio-Rad. I specialized in protein electrophoresis, Western blotting and imaging. During my tenure there, I attended trade shows and collaborated a lot with the Product Managers, and realize I wanted to be in Marketing too. The first opportunity came at Bio-Rad, then at ProteinSimple and now NanoTemper Technologies. In all I have now over six years' experience as Product Manager in Life Science with focus in protein characterization utilizing various techniques (SDA-PAGE, Wester blotting, ELISA, capillary westerns, binding affinity, thermal unfolding, chemical denaturation and aggregation).
