Col. Dawn Torres, MD, FACG, is the Regional Product Line Chair for Gastroenterology for the National Capital Region, which includes 4 GI clinics and endoscopy centers throughout region. She is also the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program Director at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Capital Consortium (NCC) where she is board certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology. She is Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Torres has over 50 peer reviewed publications and has authored 10 book chapters. Dr. Torres is Principal investigator of 10 IRB approved research protocols and has participated in over 30 clinical treatment trials for Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease as well as Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, Primary Biliary Cholangitis, and Chronic Hepatitis C and B. She serves as the Army Consultant to the Surgeon General for Gastroenterology and is a consulting physician to the White House Medical Unit. She also is a part-time physician at MEDSTAR Georgetown University Hospital in the Transplant Institute.
