Renee Williams, MD, MHPE, FACG, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Within the Department of Medicine she is the Associate Chair for Health Equity and Director of the Department of Internal Medicine’s Organization for Nurturing Diversity (DIMOND). Institutionally she is the Director for the GME Education Pillar for NYU Langone’s newly launched Institute for Excellence in Health Equity. Her interests include health disparities in colorectal cancer screening and medical education, with a focus in simulation education such as the observed structural clinical encounters (OSCEs). She completed a Master’s program for Health Profession Education at NYU School of Medicine and Maastricht University in the Netherlands in 2018. She is the Co-Chair of the Citywide Colorectal Cancer Coalition (C5) risk assessment and screening committee and serves on the ACG Board of Trustees.
