Janet Campbell DNP, ANP-BC, ACNS holds an executive position as a Coach/Mentor with the VA Office of Academic Affiliations leading 59 national nurse practitioner residency programs in primary care and mental health. As an adult primary care board certified nurse practitioner, she has fulfilled various roles in the federal and private sector over her professional nursing career. She previously held the position as Program Director for the VA Academic Partnership for Graduate Education at the Durham VA Health Care System partnered with Duke School of Nursing, in addition to serving as consulting faculty. Achievement of greater than 20 years of federal service has led to award recognition for performance and dedicated service. Dr. Campbell is a Veteran who has served in the US Navy Hospital Corps and is also a Duke-Johnson and Johnson Advanced Nursing Practice Leadership Fellow. Her academic accomplishments consist of fulfillment of a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Administration from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis; a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of South Alabama and her Master of Science degree as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed two post graduate certificate programs one from East Carolina University in the Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist program and the other from the University of North Carolina, Gillings School of Global Public Health in Occupational Health Nursing. Academic honors include Summa Cum Laude for undergraduate and graduate programs, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the University of Texas Medical Branch Alumni Hall of Fame.
