Naseema B Merchant, MD, FCCP, FACP, FHM is the Physician Champion for High Reliability Organization at VA CT. She is a faculty member in the Section of Academic Hospital Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine at the VA Connecticut Health Care System and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. As a clinician educator, she serves in the role of the Site-Director of Internal Medicine Clerkship and Program Director for the Chief Residency Program in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the VA Connecticut. She is a core faculty member and co-directs the Distinction Pathway in Quality Improvement and Physician Leadership for the Yale Traditional Internal Medicine Residency Program . Dr. Merchant’s interests include quality improvement , patient safety and medical education and has local, regional and national presentations and relevant publications in these areas.
