Clinical Psychologist
Associate Project Manager, VA/VHA
Rebecca Stout is the Clinical Director of the Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Center at the St.
Louis VA Medical Center, Assistant Training Director for Psychology Education, and the Associate
Project Manager for the Rural Interprofessional Faculty Development Initiative (RIFDI) co-sponsored
by the VHA Office of Academic Affiliations and Office of Rural Health. Dr. Stout is based at the St.
Louis VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from
Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She completed one year of Psychology Internship
Training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and one year of Psychology Residency at the
University of Illinois-Chicago. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry
at the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Medicine before joining the staff at the St. Louis VA
Medical Center in 2013. Her professional interests lie in the treatment of chronic pain and comorbid psychological disorders, motivational interviewing, psychology education, and
interprofessional education and practice.
