Clinical Research Occupational Therapist

Michelle Nordstrom, MS, OTR/L who serves as a Clinical Research Occupational Therapist (OT) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in the department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She graduated from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2006. In 2007 she commissioned into the Army where she spent from 2007-2016 on active duty before transitioning into the Reserves. During this time she worked extensively as an OT in garrison and deployed settings with Service Members who experienced physical, neurological, and psychological challenges. Her current research focuses include osseointegraiton, advanced prosthetic limbs, psychosocial challenges, and other forms of Integrative Medicine as they apply to the rehabilitation of our Service Members and DOD Beneficiaries.
