Bob Marshall, M.D., MPH, MISM, FAAFP, FAMIA, is program director of the DOD Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is chair of the Primary Care Clinical Community Content Working Group at the Defense Health Agency and chair of Alerts/Reminders Working Group at the MAMC/Initial Operational Capability Informatics Steering Committee. He is editor of the American Medical Informatics Association Clinical Informatics Board Review Course Practice Exam. He serves as faculty at the Madigan Family Medicine Residency and is clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is a hospitalist at Madigan Army Medical Center and Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, Wash. Dr. Marshall's prior positions include chief medical information officer of the Madigan Army Healthcare System, CMIO and director of clinical informatics at Navy Medicine, and president of the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians.
