Dr. Alicia Christy is a Veteran and Deputy Director of Reproductive Health in Women’s Health Services. Prior to joining VA, she was a Reproductive Endocrinologist, and clinical investigator at NIH. While on active duty, Dr. Christy was Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Walter Reed. She has authored more than 60 manuscripts and 12 book chapters. Her artwork has been published in six medical journals, including cover artwork for Academic Medicine and Fertility and Sterility Science. She holds the rank of Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and is an adjunct Professor at Howard University School of Medicine. Dr. Christy was the 2020 winner of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine Humanism in Medicine Award. In 2021 she received a Mentor of the Year Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
