Mr. Anderson, RN is the VISN 15 Chief High Reliability Officer. Mr. Anderson has served in multiple roles to improve patient safety on a national scale including the ACHE Roundtable for Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success. From 2015-2019, he led a facility-wide High Reliability project at the Truman VA Hospital. This project including conducting training to over 40 clinical and non-clinical units and over 1500 employees receiving Clinical Team Training. The HRO project included developing and implementing 75 department level Continuous Process Improvement boards. These HRO efforts contributed to Truman VA being #1 overall among all 154 VA Medical Facilitites.
He was selected as the VISN 15 Chief High Reliability Officer in July 2019.He serves on VHA HRO Steering committee and has participated in several steering committee workgroups including HRO metrics, HRO assessments, and as faculty on the VHA HRO Collaborative.
