Vanessa R. Melanson has a B.S. in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from UMASS Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She is also board-certified in microbiology by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and a Defense Acquisition University graduate with Level 1 certification in Program Management and Level 3 certification in Science and Technology Management. An employee of Geneva Foundation, Dr. Melanson serves as the Education and Training Coordinator for For-Defense Biotechnology, Biomanufacturing and Bioprinting (4D Bio3), now Uniformed Services University’s Center for Biotechnology. She is integrated into the Chemistry and Life Science Department at West Point, where she collaborates with faculty, researchers, and other subject-matter experts on instructional design, creation of 4D Bio3 training content, and evaluation of program success.
