MAJ Jennifer Slowik, DO, MS, FAAFP, Deputy Chief of Primary Care at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center.
MAJ Jennifer Slowik completed her unopposed Family Medicine Residency at Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, Georgia. During her residency, she excelled in evidence-based primary care but also discovered a love of Sleep Medicine while working with a member of the Family Medicine Faculty who was Board Certified in Sleep Medicine. She was subsequently selected for a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
After fellowship, MAJ Slowik served as core Family Medicine Residency Faculty, adjunct Transitional Year Internship Faculty and as a Staff Sleep Medicine Physician at one of the largest hospitals in the military, Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. She managed multiple curricula in addition to being a faculty advisor. While at Madigan, MAJ Slowik held an academic appointment at the University of Washington School of Medicine and continues to serve as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences School of Medicine. In 2018, she established the Madigan Pediatric Sleep Medicine Clinic and managed it until her departure in 2020.
MAJ Slowik is currently the Deputy Chief of Primary Care at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center on Fort Meade, Maryland and the Medical Director of their Executive Medicine program. MAJ Slowik is also adjunct Sleep Medicine Fellowship Faculty at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She will soon be transitioning to a Sleep Medicine position at Frederick Health in Frederick, Maryland.
