Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Whitley City, KY. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Cumberlands in 2007.
In 2011, Dr. Johnson graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he joined North Stewart Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian. In 2013, he was asked to open New Hope Veterinary Clinic. A year later, Dr. Johnson became a partner in the practice group, Gateway Animal Care Group, which owns both New Hope Veterinary Clinic and North Stewart Veterinary Clinic, as well as Animal House and Southside Veterinary Clinics.
Currently, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, a Fear-Free certified professional as well as a member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Johnson’s professional interests include Soft Tissue Surgery, Anesthesia/Pain Management, Infectious Disease, and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife Beth and daughter Lily.
