Dr. Michael Nanna is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He is an interventional cardiologist with a clinical interest in the treatment of complex coronary artery disease. His research interests have centered around improving risk prediction, treatment utilization and shared decision-making for older adults at risk for or living with cardiovascular disease. His research is funded by the NIA/NIH via a GEMSSTAR (Grants for Early Medical/Surgical Specialists' Transition to Aging Research) award, which offers early career physician-scientists with funding and training in aging research. Dr. Nanna currently serves as an Associate Editor for the American Heart Journal and an ad hoc reviewer for several other journals including JAMA, JACC, and Circulation.
