Originally from Avon, Ohio, a town just outside of Cleveland, Olivia completed her veterinary technology program at Columbus State Community College. As part of her training, she participated in multiple internships at several private practices in the surrounding area and at Ohio State University. After graduation and passing the VTNE, Olivia started working as an RVT at Ohio State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the Galbreath Equine Center as part of the ICU/emergency critical care team. She became the Equine ICU/ECC Service Coordinator in 2007; a position she held until 2013, when she moved to Athens, Georgia. Once settled in the South, she worked at Piedmont Equine, while also providing relief work in shelter medicine at the local spay and neuter clinic and weekend large animal ICU shifts at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. In 2015, she joined the University of Georgia full time as the Large Animal Supervisor. In 2019, she took on her current role as the Director of Nursing at the University of Georgia.
