Liz McKee is the Director of Alumni Volunteer Engagement for the NIU Alumni Association, a position she took after five years in Student Life.
Currently, she tracks, identifies, places and stewards alumni in volunteer opportunities at NIU, placing and/or cataloguing nearly 1,500 volunteers annually. She also works with regional clubs and networks, affinity groups, and supports campus partners interested in engaging alumni in volunteering.
She has also served as an instructor for UNIV 101 and an “Intro to Higher Education” course at NIU and is a “Conversation on Diversity and Equity” facilitator for the Office of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
She has earned awards from the NIU Supportive Professional Staff Council, the Division of Student Affairs, and her respective academic departments. She also published a book chapter about the impact of images in education and presented at the 2019 Council for Advancement and Support of Education Region V Conference.
