Commander (CDR) Zanethia Eubanks, MPH, FAC-COR III, P/PM, Commissioned Corps of the United States Public Health Service
CDR Eubanks was commissioned on June 22, 2009, as a Health Services Officer with a discipline in health policy and project management. She also holds an Honors in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA, and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management from Emory University-Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta GA. Her career in public health began in 1996, where she worked with many profit, non-profit and educational institutions to produce better health outcomes for communities.
The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is her current duty station where CDR Eubanks serves as an IT Project Manager in the Cyber Security Division (CSD). Her skills include diversity, equtiy, inclusion and accessibility, data analytics, and strategic/organizational management.
CDR Eubanks began working with the Prevention Through Active Community Engagement (PACE) in 2017 and was selected as the Northern Virginia (NoVa) Liaison for the *SGET (Surgeon General’s Education Team) in 2019. Also, in 2019 she was asked to serve as the “Acting SGET National Coordinator” to expand the vision of the Surgeon General and PACE Executive Board. In 2020, SGET’s were established in all 10 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regions under her leadership. An expansion of 400%. She was officially appointed by the 20th Surgeon General, VADM Jerome Adams, to serve a three-year term as the first SGET National Coordinator to cultivate leadership and impact change. Her passion for serving others and developing leaders among officers is evident by her numerous hours working with organizations and people within the communities where she lives and serves.
