Dalene van Zyl is Branch Supervisor for Elgin County Library at the Aylmer Old Town Hall Library. She started her library career in South Africa and held positions at the Pretoria Public Library, Bethlehem College and Truida Kestell school and gained experience as children's librarian, cataloguer, reference librarian, and school librarian. She and her family emigrated to Canada in 2001 and in the same year she began her career at Elgin County Library. She was responsible for collection development and for several years served as selector for the Ontario Library Service’s Overdrive collection.
