Darren Cooper has over 15 years of experience as an accessibility professional, including his current position as the Manager, Accessibility with the Toronto Public Library (TPL). In this role, Darren leads TPL’s multi-year AODA Program, which focuses on advancing accessibility and inclusion through the development and delivery of organizational initiatives such as the Library’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and corporate accessibility training.
Prior to his role at TPL, Darren served as an Accessibility Consultant with the City of Toronto. He has also held accessibility positions with the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University, the City of Mississauga, and the Town of Milton.
Darren holds an Honours B.A. in Communications from the University of Windsor, a certificate in Municipal Administration from the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks, and Treasurers of Ontario, and the Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional designation from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion.
