Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada
As Project Leader of the Bridge Project, Sepideh Mckensy oversees and coordinates the seamless application of the Bridge Toolkit, a customizable web-based application for libraries to capture and analyze performance and outcome data on technology services, in Toronto Public Library and in libraries across Ontario. The project welcomed a partnership with Urban Libraries Council in 2019 to deploy Edge in Canada for the first time to Ontario libraries. In Phase 3 of the project, Bridge and Edge have successfully collaborated with 50 participating libraries that range from small, medium, large, urban, rural and indigenous across Ontario. Before joining the Bridge Project, Sepideh dedicated the last 10 years of her career working with marginalized and at-risk youth as a Youth Services Specialist and has been working front-line in communities across Toronto Public Library for the last 22 years. She is passionate about using data to tell a meaningful story that demonstrates public libraries’ vital role in bridging the digital divide and advancing digital equity in their communities. Sepideh holds a Masters in Information Studies (Library Science) from the University of Toronto and a Hons. B.A. in Psychology from York University.
