Jessica Wooster received her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed her PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at the Midwestern University College of Pharmacy- Glendale and Albertsons Companies. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas- Tyler Fisch College of Pharmacy teaching courses on nonprescription pharmacotherapy, outpatient-focused laboratory courses, and electives on advanced asthma and pharmacy residency. She is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and her clinical practice site is at UT Health East Texas hospital and Tyler Cardiovascular Consultants clinic, where she has a transition of care service. Dr. Wooster enjoys helping vulnerable patient populations receive medications that are safe and optimal and promoting therapeutic lifestyle changes to improve health and wellness. She is involved in pharmacy organizations including the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), where she currently serves as the college’s faculty advisor for the APhA-Academy of Student Pharmacists (ASP) and is involved in the APhA TOC SIG. Additionally, Dr. Wooster serves the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists as the Chair of the TOC Certificate Program Committee. She was recognized as the 2020 Distinguished Young Pharmacist by the Texas Pharmacists Association and leads the college’s TPA-ASP chapter to the biannual Pharmacy Day at the Capitol to advocate for the profession. Dr. Wooster’s research interests include transitions of care and cardiology.
