Dr. Ehud Gnessin is an assistant clinical professor of Urology at Tel Aviv University, Israel. He currently serves as the director of the kidney stone program and endourology at Shamir Medical Center near Tel Aviv, Israel. Previously, he served as the director of the kidney stone program at University Hospitals (Case) Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive kidney stone surgery with a focus on ureteroscopic and percutaneous techniques as well as metabolic management for stone prevention. He also has vast experience with holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) for BPH, with more than 1,000 procedures done including 4 live surgeries. He previously served as the chair of the Israeli endourological society. He completed his Urologic residency at Rabin Medical Center in Israel and a two-year clinical and research fellowship in endourology and stone surgery at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
