Michael Rosenberg, MD, is board certified in diagnostic radiology with added qualification in vascular
interventional radiology. He is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and of the American
College of Radiology. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.
He specializes in endovascular treatment of pulmonary embolism, aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery
disease, varicose veins, and deep venous thrombosis, and helped pioneer early methods of stent graft
repair of aortic aneurysms.
Dr Rosenberg earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where he also
completed a radiology residency and a cardiovascular/interventional radiology fellowship. He joined the
U of M faculty in 1997.
An active researcher and entrepreneur, Dr Rosenberg holds 82 patents and has participated as
principal investigator of co-investigator in several clinical research trials.
Dr Rosenberg has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, as well as several
book chapters. He has been an invited speaker at several national and international conferences, and
has presented his work at multiple national and international symposia.
Dr Rosenberg is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), the Radiological Society of
North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), the American College of
Radiology (ACR), the American College of Phlebology (ACP), the Twin Cities Medical Society (TCMS),
and the Minnesota Medical Association (MMA).
