Michael serves as the Director of Government Affairs and Business Development at RES. His focus areas include coastal restoration initiatives, compliance across the company, and overseeing government affairs and business development, while supporting the company’s marketing and communications team.
Prior to joining RES, Michael worked for Congressman Charles Boustany (LA-3) for over a decade. He served in multiple roles including legislative assistant in Washington, DC working on various national policies, Deputy District Director focusing on coastal restoration, infrastructure, and wetlands issues, as well as campaign manager for the 2014 congressional and 2016 senatorial races.
Michael is a graduate of Louisiana State University with degrees in economics and political science and earned an MS in U.S. foreign policy from American University in Washington, DC. In 2020, he received another master’s degree in business administration from the Flores Executive MBA program at LSU.
Michael is the immediate-past president of the Ecological Restoration Business Association (ERBA), a national trade association supporting mitigation banking and ecological restoration.
