Melody is a Mitigation Policy Specialist with the Oregon Department of State Lands and in her 12 years at the agency she held positions in the regulatory division of the agency as well as working in wetland program devlopment. She was previously involved in the revision of the Oregon Rapid Wetland Assessment Protocol (ORWAP) and is currently part of the interagency team developing Oregon’s function-based accounting protocols for wetlands and streams. Her background includes experience in training resource professionals on the use of functional assessments, wetland and stream permitting, mitigation compliance, and mitigation bank process and approval. Melody has a Master's degree in Crop and Soil Science and a Bachelors degree in Zoology from Oregon State University.
