Katie Lehockey, PhD, ABPP is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) serving adults with a broad range of neurological conditions and neurocognitive sequelae associated with complex medical conditions. Her current work consists of neuropsychological assessment and intervention for outpatients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions, and other medical conditions that affect cognition. She provides neuropsychological services to inpatients who are participating in stroke and cardiac rehabilitation as part of an interdisciplinary team, specializing in addressing psychological experiences associated with adjustment to a new medical condition, disability, and hospitalization. She also serves as the Director of Training for the Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at MedStar NRH.
Dr. Lehockey completed her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies (concentration in Neuroscience) and Psychology, master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and doctorate in Health Psychology at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She completed an APA approved clinical internship within the neuropsychology specialty track at the VA Western New York Healthcare System in Buffalo, NY. She then completed a two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship consistent with APA Division 40/Houston Conference Guidelines at the MedStar NRH in Washington, DC. She is licensed in the District of Columbia and North Carolina, and is a credentialed Health Service Psychologist by The National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
