Kate is a Washington state licensed and ABC orthotist and prosthetist, clinician, researcher, fellow, and past president of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists. She completed her Orthotic and Prosthetic education at Northwestern University and residency in Orthotics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, OH. In clinical practice at Northwest P&O Clinic, Seattle, WA she specialized in dysvascular populations, rehab, and traumatic lower limb prosthetics. As a consulting research prosthetist/orthotist, at the University of Washington Rehabilitation Medicine and Bioengineering departments, she has focused on the translation of research findings into clinically interesting and meaningful information to improve the quality-of-care clinicians deliver and increase the efficiency and success of clinical practice to enhance whole person performance.
