Brendon Ross, DO, MS is a non-operative sports medicine specialist in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Chicago. Dr. Ross earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Biology, with a focus in Neurobiology, from the University of California, San Diego. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, where he also completed a Pre-Doctoral Osteopathic Teaching Fellowship focusing on osteopathic manual medicine. He attended residency at Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation where he served as educational chief resident. He then completed his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of Utah.
Dr. Ross is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Sports Medicine. His clinical interests include acute and chronic sports injuries in teens and adults, concussion management in athletes, and general arthritis care. He specializes in interventional and minimally invasive ultrasound guided procedures for the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Ross is currently the team physician for the WNBA Chicago Sky and Concordia University varsity athletics and currently serves on the medical team for US Soccer Federation. He is actively involved in national organizations and has presented his research at various national and regional meetings. He has a strong passion for teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows.
