New Jersey State Police Office of Drug Monitoring and Analysis
West Trenton, New Jersey, United States
DSFC Adam Polhemus has been a New Jersey State Police trooper for 16 years. In December 2013, Adam became a founding member of NJ’s Drug Monitoring Initiative (DMI). In six years this growing initiative is the nation's premiere drug collection and intelligence capability for public safety and public health partners. The DMI capability has been duplicated in multiple states and continues to shape the nation’s response to drug environment awareness and information sharing between collaborative, multi-sector partners. Currently, Adam supervises DMI day to day operations managers, data analysis and production systems, investigative law enforcement support, and outreach and training capabilities. Based on his experience with DMI, Adam has provided hundreds of presentation across the nation on the DMI Concept of Operations; drug recognition, trends, and environment overviews; public safety, public health, and forensic laboratory collaboration; and developing data collection, analysis, and intelligence production for diverse partners.
