Dr. Gitanjali Shrestha earned her Ph.D. in Prevention Science from the Washington State University. Currently, Dr. Shrestha is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the IMPACT Research Lab, Washington State University. Her area of emphasis is practice-oriented translational research for prevention programs. Her research focuses on evaluating prevention programs in non-experimental settings, and on helping overcome barriers to evidence-based program dissemination, adaptability, and sustainability. She has over 10 years of evaluation experience in substance use prevention in community contexts. Her methodological approach is ground in the use of evaluation to inform policy at the state-level and in hands-on experience with evaluation at the community-level. She has been involved in all stages of the program evaluation process, including designing the evaluation in collaboration with stakeholders, leading the data analysis and interpretation, and disseminating findings through peer-reviewed publications as well as technical reports, data briefs, and presentations.
