Tonya Stokes is the Substance Use Disorder Program Coordinator at Ellenville Regional Hospital, as well as the Ulster County Family Advocate. Tonya has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Community, along with Certification as a Recovery Peer Advocate, Addiction Recovery Coach and is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. Being a person in long-term recovery, Tonya began her journey as a peer advocate, helping to launch the Centers of Treatment Innovation (COTI) program through the State Targeted Response (STR) grant, and soon moved to a coordinator position at Ellenville Regional Hospital, assisting in the launch of their Project RESCUE and expanding services to the rural areas under the RCORP-I grant.
