Sierra Helfrich is a Health Scientist and evaluator on the Program Evaluation Team in the Division of Overdose Prevention where she provides evaluation technical assistance to OD2A recipients. Prior to joining DOP, she was an ORISE fellow in the Division of Nutrition Physical Activity and Obesity serving as an evaluator for HOP, REACH, and SPAN cooperative agreements. Previous to CDC, she worked at the Florida Department of Health on CDC-funded physical activity and nutrition initiatives, and also in state and community health improvement planning. She is originally from Pennsylvania where she received her BA in sociology from Bloomsburg University and MPH from East Stroudsburg University. In her free time, she enjoys playing recreational sports and rollerblading down the Atlanta BeltLine.
