With clinical and research dental hygiene experience, Schroeder has had the unique opportunities to investigate the oral and systemic health concerns seen first-hand by dental hygiene patients. Schroeder is the author of several peer reviewed publications on topics including sleep health, Multiple Sclerosis, and the dental hygiene process of care. Topics Schroeder has presented on include: Multiple Sclerosis, Detecting Sleep Quality Concerns During an Oral Examination, Oral Health Literacy, and Empowering Dental Hygienists' with Research. As a past president of WI-DHA, Schroeder’s goal is to continue to help members and non-members understand the importance of providing legislators education on oral health during the legislative process. Schroeder is currently a Senior National Outreach Specialist who provides project management for Medicaid Dental outreach and wellness programs. This role entails researching current oral health barriers to care and creating methods of reducing those barriers.
