Madhuli serves as the Manager of Research and Analytics at CareQuest Institute for Oral Health. She is a foreign-trained dentist from India who earned her Masters’ degree in Public Health, with a focus in epidemiology and biostatistics, from Johns Hopkins University. She is also academically certified in Health Finance and Management and Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Control.
Previously, in her role as a Biostatistician, Madhuli provided support to various departments through consultations on clinical research and statistical methodologies. She also analyzed and published data using large observational studies based on national and international administrative medical and dental claims databases and institutional electronic health records.
Given her clinical experience as a dentist and statistical expertise, she aims to inform future public health practices and oral health policies through pursuing her research interests in social determinants of oral disease, access to dental care for underserved populations, ED services utilization for dental conditions, Medicaid and Medicare dental coverage, health economics and dental/medical health integration.
She is also passionate about big data research with strong interests in machine learning. She believes that a good data science solution always starts with an overarching research hypothesis, followed by data and then, statistical models.
