Doctor Annie T. Sadosty is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic and the Dean of the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. Previously, she served as the Department Chair of the Mayo Clinic Department of Emergency Medicine and as a Regional Vice President of Mayo Clinic Health System (Southeast Minnesota), a system of community hospitals and community clinics in Southeast Minnesota and Rochester.
Doctor Sadosty is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Brown University School of Medicine and did her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Throughout her career, Dr. Sadosty has had an unwavering commitment to education. From 2003-2009 she served as Program Director for the Mayo Emergency Medicine Residency. She is highly decorated for her excellence in teaching and mentorship. In 2004 she received the national Faculty Teaching Award for the Council of Emergency Medicine Program Directors, an annual award given to one Emergency Medicine faculty member in recognition of his/her outstanding contributions and commitment to education. In her role as faculty at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Sadosty has been named to the “Teacher of the Year Hall of Fame” and has been awarded for her outstanding contributions to CME by the Mayo School of CME. In 2017, Dr. Sadosty was named a Distinguished Educator within Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science – the highest educational award at Mayo Clinic. In 2022, she was named Dean of the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.
