Dr. Roth attended Georgia Tech for his undergraduate degree, studying biomedical engineering, followed by Northwestern University for medical school. He stayed at Northwestern University for residency in emergency medicine. After residency, he joined the clinical faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine at Greenville in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Since the start of Greenville's emergency medicine residency program, Dr. Roth has been the GME Director of Simulation and Procedural Competency. In his role as the GME Director, he facilitates monthly resident high fidelity simulation sessions along with procedural teaching.
Outside of clinical work and education, Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with his family: his wife Prerana, an infectious disease physician, and his three daughters, Jyoti, Asha, and Hiranya.
