Michael Goodman MD FACS, Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. Trained at the University of Cincinnati for residency, completed Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and returned to the University of Cincinnati as faculty in 2013. Funded by the NIH and DoD for research related to the inflammion and coagulation response to traumatic brain injury and polytrauma as well as in the effects of post-traumatic flight and hypoxia after injury. Serves as Associate Program Director for the General Surgery residency program and for the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. Administers the Global Surgery experience for the University of Cincinnati in Mzuzu, Malawi. New Yorker living outside of the comfort zone in the Midwest.
